1. TopGolf

Family fun for all ages! Each bay has a set of clubs for men ,women, and kids. In the corner of the bay is a touch screen computer which has all types of games that you can play, while keeping the score for you. It's really cool! And the best part....you can order snacks and drinks the whole time!!

2. Georgia Aquarium

Looking for a place on a rainy day but don't feel like going to the movies? This is the best place to be! You can spend all day there as there are multiple exhibits and a food court to stop by when you are hungry. They host activities throughout the entire day like "Penguin Feedings" and "Pet the Sting-Ray"! Even though tickets are expensive to get in, you won't regret it.

3. The World of Coke

One of the coolest things about Atlanta is that it is the "Home of Coca-Cola". Spend the day at the World of Coke Museum and be sure to watch the 4D movie they have. It is awesome but makes sure not to sit in the front row since water gets thrown in your face when they show the part of making the coca cola. Also, you might get a poke in the back by a "mosquito." It is an unforgettable experience and a treat all around. In the Beverage Lounge, you can try hundreds of types of Coca-Cola from around the world. BEWARE: Some flavors are really nasty but it is worth it when you get the delicious, bubbly flavors! The drinks are divided up into stations, or "countries". You can sample each or mix them up! Another treat is that you get to take home a original Coca-Cola filled bottle as a souvenir!

4. Big Creek Greenway

If it is a beautiful day, grab some family and friends and go for a beautiful walk at the Big Creek Greenway. It is an 8-mile trail running along Windward Parkway and Mansell Road. It is such a nice "getaway" from all the construction and traffic in Alpharetta, and to breathe in some fresh air. You might see some deer, ducks and Canadian geese. It really is a great escape for one day. It is awesome to get a little workout in with the tree-filled path surrounding you.

5. Avalon

Let's Shop Until We Drop!! The Avalon is another activity for all ages, but the most fun with friends for an evening. I recommend walking around Avalon during the evening right around sunset. As you walk by all the designer stores (that we all wish we could afford), you will notice all of the sports cars rolling up to Valet. On Saturday nights they have live music on the green and people will set out picnic blankets. It is really a sweet sight to see the community enjoying the night together and even sweeter when you see the toddlers having a dance party at the front of the stage. After you get your exercise in, grab a bite at any of there restaurants. You can go real fancy if you dine at Coletta or you can enjoy a good bowl of Matzo Ball soup at Goldbergs! No matter where you go in the Avalon, you are guaranteed a great evening!

6. Escape Room

The Ultimate Activity to do with a group of friends! If you are from the Atlanta area, you most likely have heard about these escape rooms. In case you haven't, an escape room is when you and your friends are locked in a room with a certain mystery (you get to choose the theme) and you have to work together to crack the codes. If you are looking for an adventure, this is the answer. You have to search for clues and solve puzzles in order to beat the clock an escape!!

7. All Fired Up

A eclectic, spunky art place in the middle of downtown Alpharetta. It is a great place to paint and just let your stress float away. Look outside or walk around downtown to get some inspiration on what to paint or pick one of their 700 pieces of pottery to paint. The great thing about this activity is that you can do it with friends, family, or by yourself if you want some alone time. Affordable fun for any day of the week :)

8. Aurora Cineplex

Visit Area 51's Aurora Cineplex located in Roswell, but only a short 10-minute drive from Alpharetta. This is a great activity for any type of weather because they have something for any type of weather. They have a movie theater, mini golf with two different courses, and a bowling alley! It is not possible to get bored here, and the best part is that it is really affordable! You can get combo deals which is even better for us who have no money to waste.

9. Newtown Dog Park

For those of us who have dogs that get a little too excited on days that we just want to watch Netflix, this is where you need to bring your dog. It is THE NICEST, CLEANEST, MOST FUN dog park ever! It is so great that I can bring my dog here and when he is done...he is not dirty at all! This dog park has artificial grass, water fountains, the huge amount of space, picnic tables, and shade. They also have a part for the small dogs if they don't get along with the big dogs. I love seeing my dog interact and play with the others, and then he is ready for a nap by the time we get home. Then, it is Netflix time for me :)

10. Lake Lanier Islands

Again, this is not in Alpharetta but it is a short 20-minute drive to Cumming where this fun-filled, adventure land is. You have three options: You can go to the Big Beach, Family Fun Park, or Sunset Cove. Sunset Cove is more for adults where you can grab a cool drink and listen to music. The Family Fun Park will be filled with kids of all ages so you might want to spend a little time there to go on the water slides but will get tired of the long lines pretty quickly. Before you leave the Family Fun Park, be sure to get into the Wild Waves pool.. it's pretty cool! The Big Beach is pretty much what it sounds like...you can order food, kick back, and enjoy the beach and ocean...I mean lake. Regardless what you do, you are guaranteed to have fun and it is a great way to take advantage of the awesome Georgia weather!

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
