Pumpkin spice lattes made their debut. This all means that fall is FINALLY knocking on our door! Below you'll find a list of 14 top things every college student should do in the fall. Hopefully, you can find at least one thing to add to your fall bucket list!

1. Make spooky baskets for someone.

Whether it's for your SO or your besties, make some spooky baskets this year! Fill one up with your friend's favorite snacks, fuzzy socks, gift cards or anything else they love! Let your friends know you appreciate them!

2. Actually GO to football games.

Football is such a traditional kick-off to fall! Try going to a few of your school's football games, you'll have so much fun, I promise!

3. Have a bonfire.

Bonfires are basically coined by fall, so grab some of your friends and take a little road trip to some camping grounds. Have a bonfire, roast some marshmallows, tell spooky stories and enjoy the fall weather!

4. Have a scary movie marathon.

List all of your favorite thrillers, horror films, magical movies, watch them all and have a spooky night! All you need is a great movie, friends, and some popcorn and you'll enjoy your night, guaranteed!

5. Go to a drive-in.

On the note of scary movies, go to a drive in theater with blankets, pillows, snacks, friends and have good time!

6. Visit a haunted house.

Really set the tone for October by going to a haunted house, everyone loves the thrill.

7. Visit a pumpkin patch.

Go to a pumpkin patch and pick out two pumpkins! You and your friends can carve them in two different ways! Paint your pumpkin and decorate it for the spooky season, and you can carve a pumpkin for Halloween night!

8. Go apple picking.

Visit an apple orchard and pick some apples! It's a fun and chill activity, and you can get some fresh apples to make caramel apples with!

9. Go stargazing.

Gather you friends and go for a scenic drive in your city, go wherever there's less lights (and pollution) and find a good spot to look at the stars! You can combine this with a bonfire, if you want!

10. Decorate.

Update your dorm room decor with pumpkins, leaves, and any spooky decorations! Get some candles or wax melts that smell like fall.

11. Donate your clothes.

With the weather changing, you may find yourself wanting to change your wardrobe. If you are, donate any old clothes to your local thrift store or homeless shelters!

12. Go to a flea market or yard sale.

Since the weather is bearable, see if you can find some really cool items for an even better price at a flea market or yard sale!

13. Volunteer.

With fall break, three day weekends, and holiday breaks approaching, make some time to give back to your community. Volunteer at soup kitchens, participate in a marathon that raises money for a good cause, or find something that will really make a difference in your community.

14. Have a Friendsgiving.

Do a mini potluck before the actual holiday comes around, just to enjoy time with friends before everyone goes home for Thanksgiving.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
