Everyone needs some tips on how to get their sh!t back together after letting it fall apart for a minute and here are some of my personal tips on how to do so. Be aware that these might not work for everyone but it’s always fun to try it out and test the waters
1. First of all, remind yourself it’s okay to feel like sh!t
So you’ve hit a low point in your life, but it’s okay, come to terms with it. Because sometimes you need to realize its not just you and that it’s everyone.
2. Secondly, be pissed off for a second at what put you here in the first place.
But don’t hold on to it… There’s a difference between a second and a week. Try the 5x5 rule: if it won't matter in five years, then don’t spend more than five minutes worrying about it.
3. Then go pet a dog for your own sake
If this doesn’t help, then start over or please get help because dogs are a key to helping you bounce back.
4. F that bank account and treat yourself to something
Sounds risky, I know but seriously. Taking care of you and treating yourself is so IMPORTANT. If I never started this then I would be feeling like sh!t about 90% of the time that I'm living.
5. Girl hit the gym and look in the mirror while doing so for a good hour or two to boost that confidence of yours
I know you probably don't want to by any means, but this can probably be a very important factor to bouncing back. It depends on you though. But from my own perspective, just doing something so simple like cardio or a small set of leg workouts will make you feel so much better about yourself.
6. Go to a party with your gal pals and have a little too much to drink
Yes, I know drinking is horrible for you but I’m not telling you to overdo it and binge drink. Just go out and have a few to loosen yourself up if you’re feeling down and not like you.
7. Do your makeup and be a bad b*tch so you can stunt on those who put you down
Use your most expensive makeup and beat your face like a pro because I know you probably can. This also helps your confidence and just imagine how great it would feel to take a nice selfie after feeling like sh!t. Honestly, this is one of my most used methods ever, even if I don’t go anywhere after applying it.
8. Finally, just remember that you have time
Remember that you have plenty of time to bounce back and if you get your head straight then you will get there sooner than you think. It does take a lot but you’re probably doing great, so please keep doing you.
