As a senior myself, I have had to say goodbye and never get to experience some of the most important and memorable times of my high school career, graduation, prom, Special Olympics, and other fun activities. Even though it may not seem that big of a deal to others, it is to those who are missing out on the normal activities that seniors get to do. The class of 2020 took advantage of little things like seeing their friends and favorite teachers every day, and sadly we won't ever get that back because of the coronavirus. There are many little and big things that the class of 2020 will be missing out on because of this virus.

Graduation

For the class of 2020, most graduations have been postponed or canceled but, some schools are having drive-through or online graduation ceremonies. For a lot of students, high school graduation is one of the most important milestones of their life, and with it being taken away so fast, it is heartbreaking for so many people. Graduation is one of those events that you will remember for the rest of your life and since it has been taken away from us, it is heartbreaking, Us students won't be able to take photos together with our friends at graduation and won't be able to fully enjoy a normal ceremony.

Prom

Senior prom is a dance that many students can't wait for during their time in high school. It's the dance that is a big celebration for the ending of your senior year and now most seniors don't get to have that fun experience. So many people have spent hundreds of dollars on prom attire and now it has all gone to waste. Even though it's just a high school dance, it still is a memorable part of high school that we don't get to experience.

Senior Celebration

Senior Celebration is a time for everyone to get together and have fun celebrating the seniors, it usually includes a lock-in somewhere and you just stay up all night and celebrate with you and your friends. It is a great time to say goodbye to all of your classmates and wish everyone a good summer and future. With the COVID-19 lockdown and social distancing going on, senior celebration will never be able to happen for us seniors. We will never be able to say goodbye to all of our classmates and probably won't be able to see a lot of them ever again.

Getting To Say Goodbye

Since the rest of our school year has been cancelled, we sadly won't be able to personally say goodbye to our favorite teachers and administrators at school. We won't get to have our last walk in the halls of our school and have a thorough goodbye. But thankfully there is always next year, you can always go back to your school and visit old teachers and staff. Even though we won't get a final goodbye, we should all be happy that we have accomplished so many things as seniors and that there will always be another time to say goodbye or visit your high school.

These are just a few things that the class of 2020 will be missing out on because of COVID-19. Even though it's a depressing time right now for a lot of seniors, all we can do is stay positive and look forward to our futures in college or other future plans ahead of us.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
