Fairfield University — A place of opportunity, friendship and spirituality. When you enter into this community, there are a few things that just might happen to you:
1. The word "wicked" will worm its way into your daily vocabulary (no matter how hard you try to avoid it).
2. Chicken and fries will become your go-to meal at The Stag, and you will not be ashamed of how often you'll order it.
3. You will lose your Stag card (you'll probably find it ... probably).
4. You just might slip and fall in Barone (just get up and dust yourself off, it happens to the best of us, champ).
5. You WILL NOT be able to open your mailbox.
6. You will suddenly feel the urge to have your clothing adorned with a little pink whale.
7. You'll mess up a few times. It's college, don't freak out.
8. You might have a night you regret at the townhouses. It's OK, life goes on.
9. You might be a victim of #salmonshortsoffairfield (look it up on Instagram).
10. You will meet an obscene amount of people from Long Island.
11. You will be subject to stereotypes regarding your home state. As a New Jersey native, I can proudly say we are not all orange and do not pronounce coffee as "caw-fee."
12. You'll be thoroughly unsatisfied with the food at Barone. It's hit or miss, it'll probably be better tomorrow.
13. You will see more preppy people in one place than you thought humanly possible.
14. You'll have a disappointing night after trying to get into the townhouses and hearing nothing but "Who do you know here?" followed by the door being slammed in your face. Just try again next week, buddy.
15. You will spend way too much money on caramel iced coffee from Einstein's. It's just so good.
16. The first questions people will ask is "So, what's your major?" and "What building are you living in?!"
17. The Barone adjustment. Trust me, you'll know what this means when you get here.
18. You'll be asked where you're from and how long your trek up to Fairf is ... all ... the ... time.
19. You will meet some pretty incredible fellow Stags that you will soon find it hard to live without.
20. You'll never want to leave.
