Things That Happen When You Put God at The Center of Your Life
Answers in Genesis

Through good and bad, rocky and smooth, there is only one person I know will get me through everything. He has saved me and made me the woman I am. My life changed when I opened my life up to Him, and here’s how.

You start to see life in a different way.

The little things in life become more beautiful and inspiring. We learn to be more appreciative and understanding of the things and people around us. Life is different, it’s hard to explain, but it’s happier.

The good times are that much better.

When good things happen to us, the first thing we does thank God for His help and guidance. We know that without Him none of this is possible and we are thankful for all He has provided to us.

And the bad times aren’t that bad.

When we put God in the center of our lives we stop questioning why bad things are happening to us and start looking at the bad things as stepping stones to the good. You pray that the bad times will pass and thank God for all the things he’s doing to make you stronger and smarter.

The questions change.

We stop questioning “why did this happen to me,” and start asking “how is this going to shape me into the person I’m meant to be." The questions sound similar, depending on how you ask them, but the meaning is completely different.

When God is at the center of your life, a lot will change. All of it for the good. I know personally, my life would be completely different if I hadn’t opened my life and heart up to the Lord and started living the way he intended me to.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
