No matter the circumstances going on in your life, it has become apparent that the time has come to leave your hometown. The whole "finding a new place to live" and everything else associated with actually making the big move can be pretty daunting, but then comes the part where you arrive and have to adjust to your life and brand new town. From meeting new people to finding your way around, you'll have a lot on your plate.
However, as you'll soon find out, moving away from your hometown can be an incredibly rewarding experience that makes all the build-up worth it.
2. You learn the best bus routes to take you where you need to go
Public transit makes life SO much easier.
4. You might feel torn between your hometown and your new town
When you say "I'm going home," chances are you'll have to specify which place you're talking about.
5. You'll go all out for trips back home even if the distance isn't far
Even if it's just for the weekend, you'll end up packing WAY more than you need.
6. You'll miss your pets if you have any
All you can do is sadly go through all your old pictures and pet almost any animal you can find.
7. You'll have cravings for food you can only find in your hometown
In my case, it's a local greasy spoon and some quality milkshakes.
8. Your new city becomes just as much as a home as the older one
Any time you leave your new town for an extended amount of time, you'll probably find yourself missing it.
