FaceTime Dates, crying, hugging, and giggles are kind of your thing.

13 Things That Are True When Your Best Friends Live Out Of State

1. You send random texts to them throughout the day when you see something that reminds you of them. I usually send things to mine when usually something to do with literary jokes, anything to do with Tinder, dogs, Cosmo or pizza.

2. FaceTime Dates are bae. They have to include chicken wings from the local Pizza Hut and drunken stupor, along with the occasional text to the stupid boy that hurt your feelings; mind you that the text was and is constructed with the help of your best friend.

3. You feel kind of alone when they leave. Your go-to person/only friend in class is officially gone, aka you have to make friends, which is the worst.

4. Keeping in touch is hard, as schedules get busier, and you become more focused on you. School is hard to juggle with work and a social life.

5. You don't have anyone to go out with anymore. Please come home and tell me what looks okay for parties and what doesn't. Also, just come home and go out with me/hang out with me.

6. You can't gossip about the people that you both hate anymore, while you do homework in the library, for hours on end. Because your best friend is, unfortunately, probably not keeping up with the latest gossip on your campus, but hopefully they'll pretend like they know what you're talking about. Also, they aren't there anymore to do homework with you...

7. You forget that they live out of state. You have days where you want to text them and hang out, but you can't. No more sushi dates, random hangouts, museum dates, or being able to text, "lunch?" or go on a "coffee date?" with your favorite friend because they're gone.

8. Your Snapchat BFFs are more than likely them. Because how else are you going to communicate, other than through ugly Snapchats and heavily filtered selfies, and on occasions pictures from Cosmo, that describe you or tell them their horoscope.

9. You have no one to watch your show with. Seriously, I can't freak out about "Hell on Wheels", "Death Note" or "Orange is the New Black" with anyone.

10. When you guys are reunited, it's like a scene from the movies. Running, crying, giggling, jumping on top literally everything.

11. Sometimes when you can't get a hold of each other, you feel a little frustrated. Because you're used to your person being there 24/7 and not being busy.

12. You miss getting called out on your bullshit. Because you already know, they did that for you and most people don't have the guts to do that to you.

13. At the end of the day, though, you guys are still BFFS because he/she is your person (or, they're your people). Shout out to the three nerds (Siraaj, Leslie and Jess) who keep me sane and deal with my bull!! Love you!!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
