1. I'm thankful for lists. Y'all, I feel like every week, I upload an article that is essentially a list. I'm truly sorry but I don't care. Lists are great!!

2. This onesie I'm lounging in. It's got a butt-flap. Enough said.

3. The leftover dinner rolls in the fridge. All hail the dinner roll sandwich.

4. That Old Navy sale that happened Black Friday. Fifty percent off the whole store?! It's was a version of heaven on Earth.

5. My family. All jokes aside, they're the bomb. The holidays are my favorite time of year, despite the freezing cold weather, because I get to see those sweet relatives of mine way more than usual.

6. Christmas. Christmas cookies. Christmas trees. Christmas lights. JESUS!!

7. JESUS!! Y'all, my God is so sovereign and I find Him in everything. He is good, all the time.

8. My car heater. I am not a winter person. I'm just not. End of story. I'm a little girl and I don't have enough body warmth. I would rather be on the beach any day but I'm still grateful my car has a heater.

9. My love. If I could go back and see him smile again for the first time, what a day that would be. He's a light in my life.

10. Thanksgiving Break. It's coming to an end too soon but a week with no homework assignments and lots of pie is such a blessing for a struggling college kid.

11. Kisses. Kisses on the cheek from your grandma. Kisses on the head from your dad. Kisses on the lips under the mistletoe. That sums it up.

12. Ukuleles. No one can be sad while they're strumming a uke.

13. The Harry Potter books. Almost every fall and winter, I reread the Harry Potter series. It's so cool. I'll be twenty soon and I'm still over here like "OMG, no way Snape was kind of a good guy?!?!"

14. Fire. Fire makes s'mores and heat. I'll give thanks to that.

15. Warm water. I love brushing my teeth with warm water. And showering in warm water. And washing my hands. It's a good life.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
