If you've ever spent any time in a Spanish class, you probably know the crazy mess that occurs within these classes. I'm talking about parties, silly conversations in Spanish, inside jokes, and sometimes even fun Spanish nicknames for each student. As a Spanish minor I've learned that once you get into the upper level classes, it gets even crazier. These are things that go through my mind and that occur in some of my Spanish classes everyday.
1. You regularly speak Spanglish when with family and friends.
2. They never understand what you're saying.
3. Why do we only talk about arroz con pollo in this class?
4. *Doing Intro to Spanish Lit homework* Wait, what did I just read?
5. *Professor asks you a question* ¿Repite por favor?
6. Día de los muertos must be celebrated! No Halloween!
7. Can we have a fiesta for the last day of class?
8. Does going to a Mexican restaurant for dinner count as extra credit?
9. No, Taco Bell doesn't count.
10. Why does it feel like I'm the only one that doesn't know what's going on?
11. But it doesn't matter because you love it anyway.
