Instagram. Twitter. Facebook. Snapchat. Pinterest. We have so many different platforms that grow in size every day. I feel like sometimes people forget that the information they are posting is accessible to anyone, which isn't always a good thing. Here are 16 things people do that are annoying on social media.

1. When that one person offers us way too much information.

We do not need to know that you had a dentist appointment. Unless something unusual happened, we don't really care.

2. When people try to be relatable.

I don't understand how those kinds of posts go viral still. They aren't quirky or funny, they are just getting old.

3. When pictures of food became a thing.

Not necessary.

4. When someone posts the same picture multiple times.

I see a lot of people doing this on Instagram, where they have different poses in the same location and they post them ALL in a little album. Stop at two, maximum.

5. When two people have an entire conversation catching up on their lives.

Take this to the DMs, people.

6. When the same person shares 10 workout videos.

We get it. You work out.

7. When someone posts a mirror pic with a duck face.

I did not think that I would be having to say this in 2018. I thought we would get past it.

8. When people get into political arguments.

I am all for being an active voice and using your platform to spread the word, but your word does not need to be aggressive and spreading negative vibes on my feed.

9. When people post #ad.

It's insane to me that people get paid to post a picture on Instagram or to promote a company's product on social media.

10. When Instagram created the Explore Page.

What is Instagram's algorithm? Because my explore page is whack.

11. When someone tells us they had lunch at Chipotle in Renton?

Ask yourself if this is vital information that I need to know.

12. When people post about the weather.

Yes, we know it's snowing. I have been playing it all morning.

13. When people only retweet and don't tweet themselves.

Be creative, people!

14. When the same tweet circulates.

I will see the same viral joke from 20 different accounts. Stop!

15. When *someone* tweets information that contains government intel.

I'm looking at you, Trump.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
