You probably learned to ski when you learned to walk.

Things All Skiers Know To Be True
Telegraph

Thanksgiving is now behind us and it is time to get excited about the joyful season approaching……ski season!! So to bring in the new season, let’s chat about some things all of us skiers know to be true.

When you see someone doing “Pizza” down a black diamond, you avoid him or her at all costs.

If you are on anything above a green or a basic blue you better be doing a solid “French Fry.” If not then please, please take yourself to the bunny hill.

You love going into the lodge to get hot chocolate.

You get mini marshmallows! You get mini marshmallows! You get mini marshmallows!

You have always wanted to ride in a Snow Cat.

Fresh corduroy is actually the most beautiful thing to a skier’s eyes.

You haven’t gotten new equipment in years.

Your equipment is perfect. No one wants to go through the process of breaking in new equipment.

You wonder why freestyle skiers wear such long shirts.

Why? Just why?

Wiping out on a slope that has a busy chair lift running above it is very embarrassing.

You know they are watching and judging you. You know you do the same thing when you are on the lift looking down.

You're good at maneuvering around snowboarders who snap their bindings at the top of the lift.

Boarders, please remove yourself from the middle of everyone getting off the lift. You are going to get hit every time.

Ski School was the best.

You probably have been there at least once when you were a beginner. Your favorite part was the hot chocolate. Lots and lots of hot chocolate.

You often question why people ski with their child on a leash.

Is that actually a safe idea? That is a better question.

Getting hit in the back of the knee with the chairlift is the worst feeling.

You have the bruises to prove it too.

The best feeling is taking off your boots at the end of the day

The ankle crack you can get is so satisfying. Being able to walk normally is even better.

Losing a pole is a lot easier than you think.

Have you ever dropped one off the lift before? I am sure you will at least once in your ski career. Good luck getting it back.

The great debate of Skier vs Snowboarder.

Will the competition of who is better ever end?

“The cold never bothered me anyway!”

Nothing stops a skier when conditions are perfect. You have probably skied in negative temperatures before. If you haven’t, have you ever really skied?

You have always wanted to try this even though in reality powder skiing isn’t as dreamy and easy as it looks.

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! Have you gotten your season pass yet?

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
