One of the most important things in life is to set good habits for yourself. These habits can be little things that improve your day-to-day life. A few positive actions and some self-love can have an amazing effect on the life your living. Here is a list of small, but significant, things you should be doing for yourself if you aren't already.

1. Stop procrastinating.

Putting things off for later is one of the biggest causes of stress. The more work you avoid doing, the more work you will have piled up. Stop procrastinating and make your days productive.

2. Clean your room.

A clean and organized environment will make you less stressed. You'll know where everything is and the tidiness of the bedroom will ease your mind.

3. Drink more water.

While this one is obvious, it is something most of us do not do enough of. Remind yourself to stay hydrated throughout the day

4. Take care of your skin.

Moisturize every day. Your skin will thank you later.

5. Allow yourself some alone time to relax.

Enjoy some quality time with yourself. Meditate or read a book. Do whatever relaxes you.

6. Keep yourself updated on current events.

Read an article each day that interests you. Stay informed on what is going on in the world

8.Update your software.

Your phone will work function faster and smoother. Avoid the temptation of the "remind me later" option and get your update out of the way.

9. Set a goal and stick to it.

Get excited about your goal. Make a vision board for yourself. Put your all into this goal. Don't give up. The success will be worth it.

10. Face your fears.

Challenge yourself to do something you've always been afraid to every once in awhile. Don't be afraid to take risks.

12. Learn from your mistakes.

We all make mistakes. Dwelling on the past only causes sadness and anger. Instead, take your mistakes as a lesson and learn from them.

13. Be open about how you feel.

Don't avoid your feelings. It is essential to be open and honest with yourself. Sometimes all you really need to feel better is to simply allow yourself to get things off your chest rather than bottled up inside of you.

14. Find a workout that suits you.

Working out could be dreadful, but it is essential. Find a workout routine you enjoy and stick to it. Whether it be a zumba class or a yoga class, make sure to incorporate exercising into your daily routine.

Do your best to incorporate some of these things in your life, if you haven't already.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
