I can't believe this year has gone by as fast as it has. Here we are now, about a week away from Halloween! I think Halloween is a pretty cool holiday even if I might not always have a way of celebrating. I love horror movies and anything that falls in line with creepy or scary. Although these ten things I'm about to list are year round--and are a lot scarier than any Halloween movie, decoration or haunted house.
1. Student Loans
I'm sure anyone currently in school can empathize so hard with me on this. It's almost mandatory to get a college education to get where we want to in life but it's so darn expensive. Looking at that website and checking how much I owe just from two years is enough to scare my pants off.
2. Hillary Clinton possibly becoming president
I'm not gonna jump into a whole big political debate. She's evil and doesn't even need a mask. 'Nuf said.
3. Winter is coming
Don't get me wrong, snow is beautiful. I love watching it fall and waking up to white trees and a sparkly white ground. What I do not like is driving in it. Unfortunately we aren't in high school anymore and not everything closes every time someone spots a snowflake. I had a car accident from the snow a couple winters ago because John Tyler Community College didn't close until it was too late (No, I will never let that go!). Bills to fix my car? Terrifying!
4. Christmas present debt
I love Christmas! I also love buying presents that I have planned all year and seeing my loved one's surprised faces. Unfortunately my credit cards do not like Christmas. Hopefully the thought will really count this year when I don't spend as much!
5. WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT SEASON OF STRANGER THINGS!
Yes, I'm still obsessing over this! This show is amazing and I don't think they exact day has been announced for the next season, but I do know it won't be until next year. The thought of waiting that long to see more of this phenomenal show scares me more than any clown with a chainsaw could.
6. Calories
I'm sure anyone who loves food as much as I do understood that when they first read it. Some of the best food has so many calories. It's one of life's biggest struggles to choose between food that embraces your soul and fills the void from being bullied in middle school or having the body of the girl who actually did the bullying. Food is good. Calories are scary.
7. The unstoppable marching of time is slowly guiding us all towards an inevitable end
Did you think this was going to be a list of totally normal and commonly disguised complaints? Of course not! In the spirit of Halloween I hope this freaked you out a little. My last few articles have been very sappy and I had to throw my weirdness in there somehow. Happy internet-ting and have a safe Halloween!
