Things Only Real Best Friends Will Do

Friends are fantastic. Friends are the people you go to movies with, go on coffee dates with, and do homework with. Best friends, however, are so much more. Best friends are the people who know you better than anyone else and like you anyway. They're the ones you can be completely yourself around. Best friends are there when no one else is, and there are certain things that only your best friends will do.

1. Come over unannounced

Because they really need no invitation.

2. Stay in with you

They understand that going out is fun, but staying in means you don't have to wear real pants.

3. Embarrass themselves with you

You tell yourselves you won't look dumb, as long as you're doing it together.

4. Call you out (lovingly)

Even though they love your shady tendencies, you need to know when you're taking it too far.

5. Be your Mom away from Mom

Someone has to bring you soup when you're sick and make sure you wear sunscreen when you go outside.

6. Be petty with you

True friends don't judge you for texting him "k," they applaud you for it.

7. Celebrate your accomplishments with you

Your best friend is one of your biggest supporters, and will be proud of you even if all you did was cook your own meal.

8. Buy you food

Either spotting you when you go out or picking you up french fries just because they love you.

9. Be brutally honest with you

Best friends let you know when your hair doesn't look good, or when your Instagram caption needs work.

10. Build you up when you're down

Your real friends are the ones who are there when you have a breakdown, and the ones who make sure you know everything's gonna be okay.

11. Really, really love you

Your best friends know everything, from your political views to your most embarrassing moment of 2008. You've had a million conversations about a million different things, and you've seen each other at your worst. You're both a little crazy, but that's okay because you get each other, and you'd do just about anything for your amazing best friend.

“I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has.”

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
