1. The pain of waiting for the next season of Attack On Titan.
This anime was amazing! It was first released in 2013, but it is said that season 2 will not air until after 2016. Waiting over three years has been torture, well unless you have read the manga.
2. Knowing you could never go Super Saiyan.
Admit it, you know you have tried too as a kid. It was possibly the coolest thing ever. You at least tried it in front of the television while watching Dragon Ball Z, or possibly in the comfort of your own room. Sadly, it never happened.
3. You cannot catch real life Pokémon.
Let's face it, with Pokemon Go our childhood dreams came true, but it still does not fill that gap in our hearts. If you were a 90s kid, you always wanted to have one in real life. So right now, Pokemon Go does not cut it.
4. Getting the theme song stuck in your head for hours on end.
Sadly yes, by now you are probably singing the Pokemon theme song like I am. Let's face it, almost every anime has a catchy introduction song or ending theme song to it. So, it is really hard not to sing it at least once after finishing an episode.
5. Not being able to spoil the end to Death Note
Sometimes we all wish that we had the power of the Death Note just like Light Yagami. Some of us may even have our own Death Note in preparation of it actually happening. With this anime it is really hard to keep your mouth shut about Light Yagami's end as God.
6. Ignoring invitations and other life obligations.
Once you become consumed with a new favorite anime it is easy to forget other obligations. You tell yourself just one more episode and soon enough one turns into five. Sometimes you might also find yourself telling people you are busy or you do not feel good, when really you are just binge watching anime.
9. Contemplating if a character is a boy or a girl.
This has happened way too many times and you often resort to Google for answers. If you watch it in Japanese with subtitles this can make it all the more confusing because females can play male characters. Soon you figure it out and then the cycle begins all over again.
10. Developing a crush on a fictional character.
Even though I am in my 20s this still happens to me just the same as I did when I was a kid. I am almost certain this still happens to other adults as well. Sometimes the character's detail is perfect and the personality is on point as well. It is hard not to develop feelings for them and it becomes all too real if they die.
