There are a lot of things to cry about, but there are also a lot of things not to shed a single tear over. Whatever you may or may not be going through, I assure you that it is going to get better (well... maybe not the dining hall food.)

Not finding your "people."

Giphy

It's important to remember that everyone is new, and no one comes into college knowing everybody. Finding a core group of people who you vibe with may not happen overnight, but eventually, you'll find your people. In the mean time, take a deep breath and just be yourself.

Eating alone in the dining hall.

Eating alone is so, so, so, normal in college and not something you should feel self-conscious or insecure about. Waking up for a class that early is bad enough, and chances are nobody's rolling in with their face perfectly beat.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
