There is so much more to anxiety than just calling it an overreaction to the small things in life. Dealing with anxiety, or an unclear mixture of emotions clashing against one another, is never an easy aspect of life to control. Although there are levels that are more serious than others, I still believe that even the mildest form can get in the way for an individual to freely express themselves. The struggle is noticeable, and is often pointed out throughout any setting. For this reason and many more, people with anxiety are not only using it to stand out in the crowd.

I know people who take medication prescribed by a doctor to control their anxiety. A routine that might have to be dealt with throughout the week does not make them any less human than the next person. Any level of severity, or encountering some kind of unsettling emotion that may be linked to a possible panic attack is not a "cry for attention."

It is important to remember how One might not have any kind of control in handling their set of overwhelming emotions. Emotions can surface at any time or in any type of situation since they automatically occur. Also, there is a likelihood that they will come about without any prevalent "heads up" or evident warning signs. Therefore, it can be stated that this uprising can be unpredictable.

One shall also remember to be careful about using those generic phrases when referencing to anxiety, especially when it is told to an individual who has been battling with anxiety for the longest time. Yes by statements, I mainly want to focus on the saying that refers to taking a "chill pill." In many circumstances, this can lead to the implication that our daily stressors and the rising levels of anxiety can just magically disappear. Anxiety or not, no individual has the ultimate power to instantly turn off the switch when they do not like the emotions in which they are expressing.

To clear things up: I am someone that can name a list of things that stress me out from time to time. I am also someone, however, that has witnessed and heard about how many people struggle every single day in trying to keep their anxiety levels to a bare minimum. Therefore, I wanted to bring some light to this topic throughout this article.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
