If you’ve moved around a lot throughout your life, there are certain things you can’t relate to, but there are also many other experiences you have that others can’t relate to. Many people look at moving around in different lights, but once you move a few times, you tend to get used to the things you have to adjust to each time. Especially if you move to small town, it becomes difficult to get completely comfortable due to the fact that everyone basically already knows everyone and you become the “new kid”. Although if you’re anything like me, this feeling isn’t too concerning because chances are you’ll be moving again shortly.

1. You can’t reminisce about childhood memories with new friends

If you’ve moved a lot throughout your childhood, you know there’s little chance that you will be able to talk about old memories with new friends you meet.

2. Every place you’ve lived blends together

It’s always hard to remember how long you lived in one state versus another. This also goes along with remembering which friends you lived with in each state because sometimes you forget that they didn’t know you before you moved.

3. People can never identify where your accent comes from

If you’ve lived all across the US, or maybe even the world, chances are you don’t have an accent that is distinctive to one area.

4. It feels weird to live somewhere for a long time

Once you live somewhere for longer than about 5 years, you start to wonder why you’re still there, or if your parents haven’t told you you’re moving yet.

5. There are too many “first” days of school

You’ve probably had more first days of elementary school and high school than you can count, but that isn’t always so bad.

6. You can’t count how many times you’ve had to buy a new wardrobe

If you’ve moved from one side of the US to another, you know that seasons don’t exist in the south and they exist in excess in the north. This means everytime you move to a new corner of the country, you have to buy a new winter coat or some more shorts.

7. There’s so much slang for different places in the US

Few slang words stuck with me when I moved, but two that I always get recognized for is “y'all” and “clicker”. Regardless of where you’ve lived, you probably have a few weird sayings that people in your new town don’t recognize.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
