It is hard to believe that it has been almost three years since I graduated high school and attended my last 4-H event. While I am enjoying college and growing more from it everyday, I remember my experiences from Georgia 4-H.

Here are a few things I remember and miss about Georgia 4-H:

1. DPA (District Project Achievement)

I still remember my first DPA when I was in fifth grade. I prepared my project on the History of Money and I had to practice it in front of my classmates. I was so nervous and did not know how I was going to finish presenting my project in front of my classmates and then go to DPA and present it in front of three judges. While practicing my project, I remember one of my teachers telling me that she knew I could do it because I had a nice voice. By her telling me this, I eventually won first place in my project in 7th grade.

2. Summer Camp

Some of the best fun I ever had in my life was going to summer camp. At summer camp, I learned how to get over my fear of heights. I had the courage to go on the zip line, slingshot, roller coasters at different theme parks we went to and other various activities. I also just learned how to relax and have fun. If it was not for summer camp, I do not know if I ever would of got rid of my fear of heights.

3. State Congress

I am blessed and had the wonderful opportunity to go to State Congress at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia in Atlanta, Georgia. While at State Congress, I competed in Food Fast and Fit against three other people in the state. I also got to enjoy a night at Six Flags with my wonderful 4-H friends. This by far was one of my best 4-H experiences.

4. Weekend in the Classic City

Although I love Georgia State University and would not trade it for the world, I used to want to go to UGA. I loved being on the campus of UGA for a weekend and absolutely loved it.

5. Rock Eagle Toast

Only real Georgia 4-Her's will understand the importance of Rock Eagle toast. I think saying that alone speaks for itself.

6. County Extension Agents and staff

I loved the support and experience with my county Extension agents and staff. It was because of them that I was able to grow and be the best person I could be. I do not think they will ever understand the impact they had on me and other 4Her's. I can not say thank you enough to show how much I appreciate y'all.

I miss all of these things and many more about Georgia 4-H. I would personally like to thank Georgia 4-H and everyone I met through this organization. I hope everyone I have met through Georgia 4-H is having a wonderful life.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

The holiday season is full of stress, debt, and forced conversation. While we rush through the month of December, it's important to take a step back and enjoy the moments before they're gone. Most families love to watch Christmas movies, but these beloved films provide more than entertainment. Here are 10 life lessons that I've learned from the holiday classics we watch every year.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
