If you're a native of Northern California, like myself, you'll realize that anywhere else just doesn't compare. Leaving Northern California for a short or long period of time will for sure leave you missing a few things.
1. Real Mexican Food
After eating tacos from an authentic taqueria in San Jose, you'll realize that most states don't really know what Mexican food is.

2. In-N-Out
I know In-N-Out is available in more than just Northern California, but if you leave to a place that doesn't have it, man, will you miss it.

3. The Sports
Northern California is home to two MLB teams, two NFL teams, and one NHL, NBA, and MLS team each. No matter what sport you like, we've got it. Not only do we have a lot of sports, we have some great teams and amazing stadiums.

9. The Slang
Northern California has its own slang that makes us unique. Once you leave and keep saying "Hella," you'll be stared at and judged, and wish you were back home.

10. Great Fresh Produce
After growing up shopping at the locals farmers market, it is hard to have produce that isn't amazing. You'll also quickly realize produce isn't so cheap in most other states.

11. Wine Country
Napa Valley is known for its vineyards and wineries. It is a great spot for weekend getaways and the best place to go wine tasting.

12. The Northern California v. Southern California Rivalry
Nothing compares to the rivalry between the north and the south. The SF Giants and LA Dodgers rivalry is one of the best in the MLB and most sports fans despise any LA team. You can expect a fight to occur before the puck even drops during a LA Kings v. San Jose Sharks game, and every sports fan owns at least one "Beat LA" t-shirt.
13. Dutch Crunch Bread
You'll never understand this until you've had a sandwich made on a dutch crunch roll, and once you do, sandwiches without dutch crunch just wont compare. It truly is a shame that this bread is really only popular in the Bay Area.

14. Being Close to Big Tech Companies
Living near the Silicon Valley makes the latest and fanciest tech inventions seem like nothing new. Plus its the best place to be if interested or looking for a job in the tech industry.

15. San Francisco
Growing up taking trips into the city made this place seem like nothing special, but once you leave, you realize there is no other city quite like it.
