In the midst of the controversy surrounding Brock Turner and his sentence, along with his early release, you can always expect a response on social media. Twitter has been flooded with hilarious tweets using a hashtag to raise awareness to the problem with Turner's rather short sentence.

The hashtag that has been trending is #ThingsLongerThanBrockTurnersRapeSentence.

Some immediately made tribute to the past hashtag of #ThingsLongerThanKimKsMarriage.

Some kept it super real.

Some made me laugh until my side hurt.

And some preached this truth about "Stranger Things" that I'm still not okay about.

It's always enjoyable to look to Twitter for comic relief.
