Volunteering at a food pantry always seemed like going to California for me—I always said I wanted to do it, but never actually did. I’d look up places to do it, read articles about people in need, feel like I wanted and needed to help…but then I didn’t. There is no good reason why. Thankfully, after trying a few new churches, my fiancé and I found one we liked. Small, welcoming, and socially engaged. They have their own food pantry and clothes closet to help people in the community that are in need. We’ve only been able to do it a couple times, but it was a great experience, and I know I want to do it again.
