Things I’ve Learned While Being Halfway Through College

College has been one of the most intense and different experiences of my entire life, it’s completely different from high school and I finally feel like I’m being treated like an adult. However, to be completely honest this list in only half complete, I’m only halfway done college, and still have a ton of more lessons to learn. So without further ado, here are the things I’ve learned through college so far:

1. If it’s free it’s for me.

2. Join clubs or organizations.

3. Learn how to thrive and very little food or sleep.

4. Load up on Carbs around the weekend (We all know why).

5. Don’t forget to have fun.

6. If you haven’t learned how to do your own laundry yet, you better learn quick.

7. Showing up for class can be difficult, but if you’re not good at something always show up to that class.

8. SHU dining isn’t very good, but you really don’t have any other options.

9. Go to sporting events.

10. Find a major you love and pursue that.

11. Learn to live on a shoestring budget.

12. Learn to live without your parents and strangers instead.

13. Love your college experience. You’re only young once.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time.
