Everyone is placed in your life for a reason, whether that be to stay there forever, or to teach you a lesson and slowly fade away. There is always good that comes out of the bad; sometimes you just have to search a little harder for it.

1. the best friend that walked out of your life

They taught you that even the "permanent" things in your life can go away. They taught you that things are constantly changing, and people are too. You learned that sometimes the ones you decided to trust the most, are the ones that you shouldn't have. You learned that you can't force someone to be in your life, no matter how much you want them there. They taught you that you have to be there for yourself, just in case nobody else is.

2. the ex that wasn't meant to stay

They taught you how it felt to have a person. They taught you that love was not impossible for you, even though you thought differently. They taught you that you could be loved my someone, despite your flaws. You learned that a broken heart takes time to overcome, but that you're strong enough to do it. You learned that sometimes letting people go is better than begging them to stay. They taught you that not everyone you care for along the way is put in your life to be "the one", so to be careful of who you trust with your heart.

3. the relative that is no longer here

They taught you that losing a loved one is never easy. They taught you lessons that will stick with you forever and help you through hard times. You learned that the most important people in your life will not always be there, so to spend time with them every opportunity you have. You learned that some memories never fade, and that a special person will always hold a place in your heart that belongs only to them. You learned that you were so fortunate to have someone like them in your life and to have loved them for as long as you did. You learned that you have the most beautiful guardian angel looking over you, and that one day, you'll see them again.

4. the friend that left this world too soon

They taught you that life can be short, and life can be unfair. They taught you that just because we're young, doesn't mean we're invincible. When you think of the ideal life, you think of it as being a long and eventful one. You think of growing up and getting a job, having children, and growing old with someone you love. Your friend taught you that this isn't always the case. You learned that a funeral home full of young and confused high-schoolers is the most heartbreaking place you will ever walk into. You learned that you never know the last time you will talk to someone, so to cherish each conversation you have.

These people have all played a different role in your life, just as you played a role in theirs. No matter their place in your life, they have made you a stronger version of yourself and taught you lessons that you didn't realize you were learning at the time. Life is always changing- hold on tight and never stop searching for that small glimpse of hope in the hard situations, I know it's around there somewhere.

The Post Thanksgiving Panic And Anxiety

It happens to all of us, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the catch up with you.

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.

Grey's Anatomy

Even Shonda Rhimes, winning creator and executive producer of the hit TV shows Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, and The Catch agrees that relationships with fictional characters are real. In her book, The Year of Yes she states, "I have spent more time with Meredith and Christina then many of my actual friends...When you watched TV, even spending a full hour with Christina once a week, you were likely spending more time with her then you spent with most people in your life. That relationship was real."

Going to the gym and working out on a daily basis (with breaks once in awhile) has been a great way for me to feel good about myself. It is 100% more than just looking good. Especially after starting college and having the stress and anxiety of tests, assignments, and just figuring out my future, the gym at my school has definitely been a place of relief for me and I have numerous reasons of why everyone should push themselves to get to the gym when they can.
