22 Things More Important Than The Color Of A Starbucks Cup

What could be more important than the color of your cup of overpriced coffee? Literally anything.

22 Things More Important Than The Color Of A Starbucks Cup

During the holiday season every year, Starbucks brings out their seasonal holiday cups. This usually entails displaying cute quotes, snowflakes, polar bears, and whatever people think Christmas is about on their traditional red cups. This year, they just displayed their logo on their red cup. There is now an uproar of people offended by this (lord knows why) and they are planning to boycott Starbucks this holiday season. This has made headlines, nightly news, and a trending topic on all of my social media. The fact people are more concerned about the color of a cup than the substance in the cup is truly astonishing. Here are things that are more important than the color of a Starbucks cup.

1. Donald Trump is still trying to run for President of the United States of America. And is kind of succeeding.

2. It is 2015 and you still cannot listen to music from YouTube when you lock your phone.

3. Rapper Lil B saying Oklahoma City Thunder basketball player Russell Westbrook looks like a sandwich.

4. This Corgi trying to eat air.

5. You can now buy a clip on man bun.

6. The amount of student loans you are currently resting on and the fact you probably won't be able to pay them off until you are 40. Or dead.

7. There is a company that has created a replacement for water bottles that you can actually eat.

8. There are still people that went to your high school still trying to become rappers and DJs.

9. A paper towel

10. 8,000 dogs die every day in shelters because no one will adopt them.

11. The odd satisfaction of this broom fitting perfectly in this small space.

12. Old school Ne-Yo and Akon music circa 2006.

13. A medium Pumpkin Spice Latte is $5.00 and no one seems to find that ridiculous.

14. Literally anything you can think of.

15. Otto the skating bulldog has broken the world record for skateboarding through the "longest human tunnel".

16. The big fat tax return check you are going to receive next year.

17. Aaron Carter has been trying to make a comeback for 15 years now.

18. Also, Aaron Carter was relevant 15 years ago, you should feel old.

19. This sea otter dancing to 679 by Fetty Wap.

20. LGB youth are 4 times more likely, and questioning youth are 3 times more likely, to attempt suicide as their opposed to their heterosexual peers.

21. Out there is an annoying twitter account stealing your fire tweets and claiming them as their own.

22. I don't know, maybe the 128 people killed in France from the ISIS attack? Or the innocent lives that are killed everyday in Syria right now by a bunch of awful people? There are more important issues happening in our world right now than the color of a coffee cup. People have been so blind to such an irrelevant "necessity" when people are losing their life just simply because of the color of their skin, beliefs, or for no reason at all.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
