We all have those days where everything that could go wrong just does. Fights with friends, failed tests, relationship struggles—it piles up. And sometimes, the days seem to repeat themselves, and those days can turn into weeks. In times like these, it's very easy to get wrapped up in the things you do wrong, the things you struggle with, the things you're bad at, the things you can't do. Dwelling on this kind of negativity is dangerous for your well-being and your mental health, and it's important to remember the things you can do, the things you're good at. Today, I sat down and did just that. Here's some things I came up with:
1. Making a box of mac n' cheese and eating the whole thing in one sitting.
Sometimes straight out of the pan. #noshame
2. Editing pictures so well they could probably make it into an art museum.
And creating a steady VSCO filter collection along the way.
3. Making bomb playlists for any and every occasion or mood imaginable.
Seriously, hit me up on Spotify.
4. Watching an entire Netflix series in record time.
It's practically a full-time job.
5. Painting my left hand's nails with very few polish spills.
But we aren't talking about the right hand.
6. Taking naps in even the smallest blocks of free time.
A college necessity, really.
7. Flawlessly reciting every notable Harry Potter quote.
And every non-notable quote, if I'm being honest.
Instead of dwelling on your mess-ups, your faults, or your flaws, I push you to think about the good things in your life—even if it's not all serious and sentimental. Think about them, write them down, and remember them when you catch yourself thinking about the negative. It's healthy, it's encouraging, and it's funny. What are you good at?
