My Bed

There is nothing more comfortable than your bed at home. It keeps you happy when you are sad and has literally had your back your entire life. Now if that's not support I don't know what is.

My Bathroom

Having the privilege of having my own bathroom my whole life is something that will make college a rude awakening, but hey new beginnings!!

My Family

Since I am 4 years younger than my sister I have been home alone with my parents being, almost, the only child except my older siblings causing the problems from a distance away instead of me at home. Although my siblings have their new journeys ahead of them, i’ll miss being to go visit my sister at school because she will be thousands of miles away in Spain. Maybe I can make my brother ditch work to come see me? We will see.

Silence

In my house after 9 pm it has always been completely silent. Sleeping has always been a breeze. Thin walls in college will take some getting used too.

My Car

Having the freedom to escape whenever I wanted was possibly the best thing ever. Considering the only option I have now us uber or foot it will be slightly more difficult, but I'll let you know how it goes.

My friends

My friends are honestly the best people in the world. Although we bust on everyone's quirks, we have the best time when we are together. From late night Wendy's runs to packing my entire college life into my car I couldn’t be more grateful for them and dealing with my grumpy self.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
