We're at that point in the semester where we have a ton of homework but no motivation to do it. So here's to all you procrastinators, let me know if this list is accurate.
Clean my room
They say that a clean working environment makes you more productive, so I should clean my room before I do my homework right? Yes, but it only works if you actually clean your room instead of starting and getting distracted by all the cool things you forgot you lost.
Check social media
And by social media, I mean all of it. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, and whatever else you have. It helps you stay involved while wasting a solid hour of time that you should have spent doing homework but didn't.
Learn to cook
Attempting to do homework tends to make people hungry and it might be useful to know how to make something other than coffee and Ramen. And no, microwavable macaroni does not count.
Go outside
The weather has been amazing lately. Fall is in full swing (except in Florida) so why not go outside and enjoy it before the bitter cold keeps you indoors. Besides, fresh air is good for you.
Run errands
I have to do them anyway so might as well do it right now. And for the next few hours since I really don't want to write this paper/work on this project/whatever is it you're procrastinating on.
Watch Netflix
Or Hulu, or Amazon Prime. Whatever streaming service you have, chances are it's much better than actually completing the assignment that's due in the next few days. Especially if you're in the middle of binge watching.
Read Odyssey articles
Let's be real, they've grown on you a little. And there's one for every occasion, including procrastination. If you play your cards right, you might even be able to consider this "research," though I use that term very loosely.
Now that I'm done procrastinating on my own homework, it's time for you to do yours. Or click to the next article. Whatever floats your boat.
