After swimming my entire life, still continuing to do so, every four years my family and friends live to watch the amazing Olympic Games. Growing up most of my life with the amazing swimmers of all time alive and breaking World Records my entire life. The G.O.A.T, Michael Phelps, who has come out of retirement to once again prove he is the most decorated Olympian of all time. Here are 5 things that happen during the Olympics as a swimmer.

1) Everyone suddenly gets interested in the sport

Well when I had meets all weekend long you weren't interested then

2) Your non-swimmer friends ask questions while you are trying to watch

If you don't already know you won't figure it out, just let me watch and google it.

3) Non-swimmers claiming that Nathan Adrian, Ryan Lochte, or Michael Phelps is "bae"

4) Everyone comparing Katie Ledecky to a man

Just because someone trains so hard to be the best in the world, doesn't mean that she is a man. She's a strong dedicated women. Deal with it.

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
