Those of us who have dogs know that they can be super weird. The best part is that a lot of dogs have the same weirdness that make them so special to their parents. Here is a list of strange and adorable things our dogs do that are both hilarious and annoying.

1. Zoomies. In the house.

For whatever reason, our beloved companions cannot release energy outside where it is safer to do so, but insist on running full speed around the house, over the furniture, over you, etc.

2. The street cleaner. In the house.

While it looks hilarious, we know that we will never lay on that rug again.

3. Screaming to come in or go out.

This is one of their only ways to communicate with you, so obviously they're going to do it - at night, when you're sleeping.

4. Watching you use the bathroom.

There's something about small rooms with only one door that drives dogs nuts and makes them want to sit and stare at you. Better yet, when they want you to pet them.

5. Sleeping on top of you.

Yes, you bought them a new bed. Yes, they have their blankets. Yes, they're still going to want to sleep on your bed with you. And yes, its going to be on your head.

6. The adorable but loud snoring.

"Seriously? First you're going to sleep on my head, and then snore?"

7. Eat gross things...then give you kisses.

Congratulations! A sweet moment between you and your dog was ruined by the neighbor dog's poop from yesterday.

8. Demand pats while you're driving.

It doesn't matter if you're navigating a two lane double roundabout, they want their butt scratched NOW!

9. Complain about the weather.

No one wants to go out when its 20 below and snowing sideways, but especially not your dog - he'd just rather poop in the house.

10. Almost kill you with their farts.

It doesn't matter that you've been giving them the same food for 4 years, they're going to find something outside that makes them gassy and eat that instead.

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
