For college students, there is a huge peer pressure to go out and party, especially on the weekends. These pressures come from the people you hang out with on campus or friends you have made since the beginning of the academic year. However, there are a lot of students who are uninterested in the activities that take place on the weekend in college towns. If you are one of those people, here are some things you can do without being under the influence:
1. Get dinner with some friends.
No matter what time it is, I'm sure there will be someone you can text to go to the union or order pizza and hang out with.
2. Work on homework.
You can avoid it all you want, but eventually, you'll have to do your homework at some point, might as well do it when everyone else is gone.
3. Do crafts.
Crafts are fun, and you can use them to decorate your dorm.
4. Go to Dairy Queen or your local ice cream store.
This baby loves Dairy Queen, and so do BG students. Going to get ice cream with some friends is fun and is a good way to catch up with people that you haven't seen in a while.
5. Join student organizations.
There is a club or organization for everything you could possibly be interested in on campus, take advantage of them and meet people with the same passions as you.
6. Go thrift shopping.
Goodwill is the best place to find any random item you could ever think of, and its super cheap.
7. Find something absolutely free to do.
College is the time to be broke and find stuff to do that costs little to no money. You never know that you'll find.
8. Take a nap.
Naps are free and always available, use them whenever you have the chance.
9. Have a movie night.
Movies are great, and company is even greater. Watching movies and having snacks is a great time to hang out and relax.
10. Dress up and go out to dinner with your friend or roommate.
There's never a wrong time to dress up and go out with a friend. Dressing up will give you confidence and food is always good.
11. Try out the kitchen in your dorm and eat something other than Ramen.
Ramen is cheap and always available, but give your tastebuds a break and cook something that actually has a normal flavor.
