Let's face it: anxiety sucks. It can suck even more when you are a college student and dealing with all of the crap that anxiety throws at you.

So here's a list of all of the things you understand if you are a college student who is struggling with anxiety.

Talking to your professors is a process. You must plan everything out several times before you speak

    Waiting since the first night in the dorm for that surprise 2 am fire drill


Leaving for class 15 minutes early that is only 2 buildings away



Going to the finical aid office for any reason


When there is a party on your floor and you are terrified you will get caught, even though you're not even there...


Forgetting where you put your keys for 10 seconds until you realize they are in your hand.


Taking a shower is not just taking a shower anymore. It is a constant battle of washing your body and checking to make sure no one took your towel


When finals week rolls around, you begin to doubt your abilities as a college student and as a human being more than ever


Doing really well in your classes but you keep getting a couple of points off from your participation grade because you never talk

Having anxiety as a college student can be terrible, but you are coping and getting through. And that’s all you have to do for now.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
