You think I need to tan? I hope my whiteness blinds you.

Glam&Gore

1. Noticing discoloration anywhere else because your skin is the purest white to compare to.

At least there's always a reference on hand.

2. When you inevitably attempt to use fake tanner and it fails miserably.

Who seriously has time to reapply every two to three days?

3. Going outside on the first sunny day of spring.

Kind of like how the Wicked Witch of the West acts when she gets splashed by water.

4. Dealing with the inevitable jokes your friends will make.

At least sunscreen will be your friend.

5. Accepting this and eventually just making fun of yourself.

If you can't laugh at yourself, what can you laugh at?

6. Not to mention embracing your hidden talent as a chameleon.

Just be sure to bring a brightly colored towel so no one trips over you.

7. After all, you do shed like a reptile

Peeling is usually a good thing, though, because you don't have that awkward tan line anymore.

8. Knowing that each of us has had one great "burn" in our lives.

Aloe gel was our savior at one point or another.

9. Seeing other people with pale skin pull off looks that you've never even dreamt of because of how light you are.

It's okay, I really don't mind looking like the crypt keeper all of the time.

10. Feeling like your skin is pretty much translucent.

That makes me mythical like a unicorn, right?

11. Losing all faith when the lightest shade of makeup sold is still too dark.

Maybe white out paint will do the trick?

12. Knowing that nothing "nude" will actually blend in with your skin.

You'd probably just be better off in white.

13. Saving money on Halloween makeup because you practically glow in the dark already.

At least there are plenty of last minute costumes for you to fall back on.

14. Even if you could, you doubt if you'd really want to get tan anyway.

Shine like the pale, glowing star you are!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
