Now that Christmas is here, you might wonder what people love about it. For some, it might be hanging out with their family, eating the food, giving or receiving presents, or where they spend it. But, for me, Christmas is about thanking the people I have in my life and all the amazing things that we get to do together.
Family
The holidays are typically spent with your family or friends and it's them who make it the best. Spending time with the people you love makes everything fun. To always have a good time, always spend the holidays with those that you care about the most!
Food
Families from everywhere have many different types of foods during the holidays. The traditional Mexican meals at my house are tamales, pozole, ponche, or mole. Whatever traditional holiday meals that you eat, enjoy it! Your friends and family make it with lots of love and you should be thankful for it, especially those amazing desserts! Eat lots of food and be happy!
Movies
I love that during the holidays there's always special movies specifically for each holiday. Some Christmas classic movies are Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Love Actually, Elf, Home Alone, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Family Stone, and many more! These are all great movies to watch while you cuddle up with a soft blanket and some hot chocolate!
Music
I know many people that love to sing Christmas music. Some love to start right after Thanksgiving ends and then there are people that could sing Christmas music all year long! Whatever time of the year you love to sing Christmas music, it can be very catchy! Just take some time to listen to some of the songs: I'll be Home for Christmas, Santa Baby, A Holly Jolly Christmas, and more.
Snow
Snow looks very pretty, especially for people who have never been in snow before! One of my roommates is from California, so she had never been in snow before. Once it snowed, she thought it was beautiful, but it was just too cold. It's amazing to wake up and see how great the snow looks when it's falling just remember to layer up before you go out!
