If you have thick hair, you know it’s both a blessing and a curse. Whether you’re regretting washing your hair at 6 P.M because you had a meeting at 7 P.M. and your hair won’t even dry that fast with a blow dryer, or you’re getting praised for having luscious locks, having a full head of thick hair is something that has to be acknowledged. Here are 6 pro’s and con’s of having thick hair.

Con's:

1. CLOGGED. DRAINS. No need for elaboration.

2. It’s basically an arm workout when you are braiding your hair. Who needs dumbbells, am I right?

3. You have to schedule times to wash your hair because otherwise you won’t have time

4. Your conditioner ALWAYS runs out before your shampoo

5. You can never have too many ponytails because they are forever breaking (only wrap it around once, not three times).

6. You get mad thinking about stepping outside during the summer because it’s 30 degrees hotter. This is scientifically proven.

Pro's:

1.. You don’t have to buy the products that say “volume” because your hair is the definition of volume.

2. You have a plethora of hairstyles to choose from. Aka cornrows, braids, buns, you name it.

3. When you get highlights and the hairdresser puts half of your hair up in foil, the hair that’s left is enough to fill up a whole head

4. You can save money on buying a pillow because you can use your hair as a portable pillow where ever you go

5. During cold weather, your hair is added warmth. Don’t worry about a scarf ladies!!

6. Your hair flip brings all the boys to the yard.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.
