Nobody can make you feel inferior

They're Not Bigger

While life is filled with happy, fun, and loving moments and memories from the relationships you build around you, there will be tough times as well, of course. There will be some people in your life in which your paths were simply supposed to go different ways, and that is perfectly okay. Not everyone you meet in life is supposed to be permanent. Sometimes when these paths start to stray away from the ones you were on together, the outcome can be pretty rough. There will always be some people in life who will go out of their way to make sure you cringe. Because of the falling out you two shared, instead of bettering themselves from the experience, they would rather take any opportunity they can to tear you down, or watch you get upset. The best way to treat these situations is to always remember you are stronger than what they are trying to bring you down to.

These type of people are losses in your life that you should be grateful for. You will never need anyone that is capable of treating you in such a poor and immature way after you've disagreed with them. They could be an ex-boyfriend or girlfriend, a friend, a coach, a teacher. Anyone in your life, could possibly bring upon this kind of experience.

The situations you could find yourself in with these kinds of people can be extremely uncomfortable. Whether they're giving you dirty looks, saying things at you under their breath, talking about you behind your back, or posting about you on social media, the most important thing there is to remember is that you are better than their immature actions. They will do anything to feel as if they are above you, as if they're bigger than you.

They aren't, and they never ever will be.

Despite all of their attempts, you cannot let them get to you. Hold your head up high, and remember your worth. There is nothing wrong with having a falling out with anyone in your life. Everything happens for a reason, so if they aren't in your life anymore, you can't doubt that it is for a good reason. If they can't understand, or respect that, then they have some growing up to do. You can't let them get you down, make you cry, add stress to your life, or make you question your worth. No one has that kind of power over you.

You have the strength in you to look right past them when they are trying their malicious ways on you. You are bigger than that, and they are NOT bigger than you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
