8 Reasons Dogs Are Better Than Cats

They don't call them man's best friend for nothing!

1. They are reliable and trustworthy.

From the moment you adopt them or buy them from a pet store, they run up to you and are willing to do whatever it is to protect you. No matter the size or shape, they will always be there for you.

2. They always put a smile on your face.

Whether you're coming home from work or school after a long day, or are having a tough time going through a lot, they have a sense and will do anything to make it better.

3. They are funny.

From the thousands of videos on Twitter and Instagram, dogs do some crazy stuff. Whether it's swinging from a rope, hanging from a tree, stealing food off your plate or playing dead, dogs always make you laugh.

4. They are helpful.

I'm not just talking about therapy dogs, but all dogs; they help you emotionally, too.

5. Puppies are the cutest animals to ever exist!

The fact that there are a handful of tiny, furry animals that were all born at the same time is one of the best things in this whole world. They can fit in your hand and you can watch them grow up.

6. They have a personality.

Each dog is different and, as opposed to cats, they have a personality.

7. They love the outdoors and being active.

Whether it's bringing them on vacation, to a park, or just taking them for a walk around your neighborhood, they'll be in total bliss.

8. At the end of the day, you'd rather spend most of your time with your dog than anyone else.

No judgements, no complaints and time well spent with your best friend.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
