On the second day of Finals my college gave to me:

two thoughts of switching majors, and a tanking GPA


On the third day of Finals my college gave to me:

three failing classes, two thoughts of switching majors, and a tanking GPA


On the fourth day of Finals my college gave to me:

four all nighters, three failing classes, two thoughts of switching majors, and a tanking GPA


On the fifth day of Finals my college gave to me:

five minutes of praying, four all nighters, three failing classes, two thoughts of switching majors, and a tanking GPA


On the sixth day of Finals my college gave to me:

six cups of coffee, five minutes of praying, four all nighters, three failing classes, two thoughts of switching majors, and a tanking GPA


On the seventh day of Finals my college gave to me:

seven nights in the library, six cups of coffee, five minutes of praying, four all nighters, three failing classes, two thoughts of switching majors, and a tanking GPA


On the eighth day of Finals my college gave to me:

eight mental breakdowns, seven nights in the library, six cups of coffee, five minutes of praying, four all nighters, three failing classes, two thoughts of switching majors, and a tanking GPA

On the eleventh day of Finals my college gave to me:

On the twelfth day of Finals my college gave to me:

twelve pounds from stress eating, eleven extra assignments, ten hours of crying, nine thoughts of dropout, eight mental breakdowns, seven nights in the library, six cups of coffee, five minutes of praying, four all nighters, three failing classes, two thoughts of switching majors, and a tanking GPA

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
