These Clowns Aren't Funny

This isn't bozo anymore.

Media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter have been flooded with Clowns recently. No, not uneducated people who have no idea what they're talking about, but actual Clowns. These Clowns are not the kind you see at the circus, with their big shoes and clown cars, but they have been dubbed 'killer clowns', and are not something to mess with.

There have been many reports of clown sightings which seemed to have started in North Carolina, and have now popped up in various other states such as Pennsylvania and Ohio. You can find videos of supposed encounters on Twitter pages such as @ClownsSightings. These clowns can be seen in the woods, on back roads, and even walking up and down the street, and they are not friendly, sometimes seen wielding a machete or other weapon.

Social media, as usual, is escalating the situation much more than it needs to be. There are so many memes and fake videos going around, so sometimes it is difficult to separate real from fake. I, for one, would do anything but hang around to take a video if i encountered one of these heathens. Social media can also play a role in putting these Clowns in to the pop-culture spotlight. Although I do believe there are some people dressed in Clown costumes who genuinely are up to no good, others may try to pull a stunt in order to scare their friends, with no intention of harming anyone, while only increasing the Clown population. This horrifies me, to say the least. And to everyone planning on being a Clown for Halloween because it will be funny to scare people, you are the worst.

So, if you see any of these suspicious figures, it would most likely be in your best interest to get far away as fast as possible, and notify the police. These Clowns are not funny anymore, and I do not think they ever will be.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
