There's Something Special About A Coffee-Date

I'm going to be completely honest here -- my history with coffee has always been a bit rocky and nonetheless complicated for many reasons. Mainly because at age 5 my dad would jokingly ask me if I wanted to drink some coffee every single morning. Me being the afraid-to-try-new-things-of-a-child that I was, refused with a simple, 'no, thank you'. I always thought that the smell of coffee was too strong or just unappealing for the longest time.

On the contrary, at age seventeen, my love for coffee sparked. Blame it on being a college student or a cliche teen -- nothing could tare us a part at this point....

Being a twenty-year old junior college student, coffee has been my go-to-life-changer. I mean, come on, what's not to love? Ah, just the smell of a strong (black) coffee sitting in front of me is simply enough to make my day. Not only that; coffee keeps us alert, energetic and certainly puts us in a more positive mood and outlook on the day.

Most college students now-a-days have a complete interest and love for having coffee dates. I am the type of person to ask any of my classmates, friends, or significant other (*cough* non existent *cough*) ---who are also coffee (lovers) drinkers to a coffee-date. Our brains need a little break from time-to-time and I mean, what's a better way to take a break with a sit-down convo with your friend, acquaintance, or significant other than over some hot-steamy coffee during a crisp day?

I usually have coffee dates to not only catch up with my friends or acquaintances, but to learn more about them and see how God is working in their lives. It's a great way to 'break the ice' if you are just getting to learn more about this person, or a great way for you and your best friend to sit down, relax and take a cute selfie for Instagram, or whatever you may.

There is nothing better for a person than that he shouldeat and drink and find enjoymentin his toil. This also, I saw, isfrom the hand of God,for apart from himwho can eat or who can have enjoyment? -Ecclesiastes 2:24-25

Coffee dates are also perfect for spending time to read, and prioritizing your schedule. I have to be quite honest, I cannot and will not read or try to study without having coffee in front of me. It is just a great reminder for me to always work hard and also take the time to enjoy the work with a cup of coffee in my hand, of course. It is a completely perfect time to write some daily-devotionals, reflect on God's word and reflect on our lives and the lives around us. This is also a great bonding function, too.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
