There's A Man In The Woods is a short film written in verse about a school teacher, his young students, and a man in the woods who may or may not be fictional. While written to be entertaining and creepy, the short film does an amazing job of commenting on today's school society and how children are raised.

The film follows a school teacher and a group of students, one of which started a rumor about a man in the woods. The other students were so terrified they refused to go outside and play. At one point the parents get involved. The school teacher tells the parents that one of the students lied and there is no man in the woods. The teacher is terminated with a sick twist that you can only find out by watching the film (available on YouTube).

The film shows just how willing parents are to paint their children as angels and anyone who says otherwise is a terrible liar and should be punished. It also shows that children can be cruel and that insanity can lead a good person to do bad things.

The film is approximately 3 and a half minutes long and full of entertainment throughout and the twist will leave you shocked and thoroughly freaked out.

CalArts Character Animation and Student Films does a lovely job animating the short film, the transitions are smooth and the style lends a helping hand to the creepy atmosphere.

All in all the video is a 10.

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
