Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Society has so many ideas about how a woman should look and should act.
The truth is, not every women is built the same way and we shouldn't be forced to think that way.
There is such a thing as being healthy and big! I feel like the whole "big" or "small" terminology is somewhat demeaning. Women shouldn't feel ostracized for not looking like the cover of a magazine.
Body shamming is never okay. Each woman is beautiful inside and out.
As I become older and I see more and more of body shamming it's like, "GROW UP PEOPLE!" Every woman should focus on her health more than trying to fit in those size zero pair of pants.
It is sad that a woman gets looked down upon because of her weight. I also learned that sometimes your shape can't be altered and shouldn't be altered because you are beautiful just the way you are. Don't limit yourself to trying to achieve the social norm of skinny being beautiful. Strive for healthy and beautiful, smart and healthy etc.
I hope you get the point.
However, the biggest insult I have ever heard and saw was women degrading women.
HOW DARE YOU! Come on, society already has so many pressures on women; why would you add more? Is that because other women are doing it? Or are you really deep down insecure? Whatever it is, keep it to yourself or better yet ask yourself, "Is this society talking or is this how i personally feel?"
I hope that one day women will ban together instead of against one another in body shamming.
We all come in various heights, shapes, ethnic backgrounds, and even different beliefs. I wish there was a point where women listened to one another rather than shamming each other.
My philosophy is this: if you don't want it done to you or someone you love then why in the world would you even waste breath, or energy to do it to someone else? Maybe to me it is common sense, but we should build each other up, build an empire together and show the world that women are strong, independent, loving, courageous. Most importantly we care about our bodies, and the well being of one another whether you like the person or not.
Don't body shame, we are all perfect in our own way.
I wish more people were vocal about being healthy and not trying to fit in those ridiculous small clothes or even that ideal body shape. The world would be so much nicer if women stopped being catty and actually cared about their health. I will never understand the importance of body shamming.
I decided to change that by smiling at women, saying hello and being bold and saying, "girl you are slaying!" Okay, maybe not like that; but a compliment a day to ourselves and other women can make a huge impact in someones life. So don't be afraid to wear that shirt, shoes, make up etc. Tomorrow isn't always promised. Get healthy, be happy and glam up girl!
I dedicated this to all the insecure women!
