As I sat at Starbucks today working on The American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise I came to realize that there are no coincidences only moments developed by the universe to move you forward in a positive direction to your goals. I was folding up brochures when a lady I haven't seen in a while came and I was able to hand her a brochure about Relay to give to her networking group then a gentleman who has an organization Red Cards Against Cancer approached me for a brochure then 2 police officers from The City of Sunrise Came in and I was able to give them brochures and get the updated contact for them to participate in The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise.

A few weeks ago the event lead for The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise, Jeff Cash, introduced me to the General Manager of PIZZAFIRE and our RELAY RALLY was born. As I began to reflect on all these encounters I began to understand that GOD, The Ascended Masters, The Angels, and Jesus were sending me the message that they will be putting resources along my path to help me in my quest to attack cancer from every angle. In sitting in quiet reflections I came to realize that there are no coincidences and that you will be put in situations and given messages to act upon and that when you put your passion into action you find success.

As I have continued to be of service and value to others through my workshops I have met many people who have benefited from my knowledge and I have benefited from my interaction with them as I have found ways for us to be of service and value to each other. I have learned over time that GOD and the universe will put people in your life who can help to enhance your personal, professional, and spiritual life and that there are no coincidences.

A few years ago I received a message to make a turn into The Lauderhill Sportsplex where a youth football game was being played and I did. I parked and proceed to the press box to offer my services as an announcer. I was told that by the person in the press box that they could not authorize me to ask the VP of the league. I searched out the league VP and he said yes you could announce. After I finished I was asked what i was doing the followig Saturday as they needed an announcer for their homecoming games. I said okay I will be there. I announced those games which ed me to getting a paid gig announcing The Sean Taylor Clasic. In 2014 I was awarded The Mumford Johnson Community Service Award for my service to the league. Since then I have been hired to do many youth football games including The Gold Coast Pop Warner Super Bowl. It is amazing how the universe provides opportunities. All you have to do is heed the message, take action, and understand there are no coincidences.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
