It's almost my favorite holiday -- Thanksgiving. So many people forget about this beautiful holiday to think about how close they are to Christmas. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, but why is everyone forgetting about Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving is a time where we come together to be thankful for what we have. We eat more than we can imagine and no one can judge you for it. You sit in a food coma for a few hours after eating all that turkey, stuffing, and potatoes and then go back to eating. What could be better?
Christmas is great. There is Christmas music, the decorations are beautiful, and everyone seems to be in this fantastic spirit. But often times people go straight to the "common I just want to open my presents" stage of Christmas. While I will admit, presents are pretty awesome, they're not the whole point of the holiday.
Now Black Friday has taken over Thanksgiving. Stores now open Thursday night for door busters and special deals that you may not get on Black Friday. Why are stores taking away from Thanksgiving dinner? Thanksgiving is all about being with people you love and care about, but now people are more concerned about getting up and going to stores in the middle of dinner.
Thanksgiving is one of the best holidays of the year. This year, instead of running to the store in the middle of dinner to buy someone a gift, stay at the dinner table. Enjoy conversation and the food in front of you.
