The 12 different Zodiac signs can be portrayed as moments and little things that many of us have experienced; below, the star signs are portrayed as little adventures, types of friends or warm places that are comforting to both introverts and the extroverts.

1. Aquarius: January 20th-February 18th

Aquarians are adventurers. They love jumping for a new opportunity and taking a risk. Aquarius is impromptu adventures on long summer days, walking into that hole-in-the-wall shop or sitting in a bustling room full of excited people, constantly thinking of ideas of where to go next.

2. Pisces: February 19th-March 20

Pisces is the quiet raindrops against the window and the therapeutic crackling of the fireplace of a warm Sunday in. They're sensitive and reserved, yet easy and comfortable to be around, like a familiar book or journal or the scent of a favorite candle.

3. Aries: March 21-April 19

Aries love working on their own and they're brave. They are fiery and love bringing excitement into life, like that favorite song that always gets you to dance, the bass ringing throughout your body, a thumping concert or like a solo dance party in your bedroom.

4. Taurus: April 20-May 20

Taurus is the stubborn hot days of a squelching summer, the burn as a cool refreshing drink slides down your throat, the old and busy diners, the smell of burning bacon and delicious hamburgers.

5. Gemini: May 21-June 20

Geminis are the friend that wants to stay inside one day or go visit another country the other day. Geminis are that positive feeling on a warm day but the cool breeze that ruffles you every now and then.

6. Cancer: June 21-July 22

Cancers are unpredictable and sensitive at times, like the streets of a busy city or a cafe while carrying a hot mug of coffee that seems too threatening to take a sip of. But it's also a secure feeling, like a warm blanket around you as you study or your favorite bag on your shoulder as you go throughout your day.

7. Leo: July 23-August 22

Leos are hot-tempered like the bubbling and steaming of a meal that has been cooking on the stove for too long, yet forgiving like the taste and warmth of a dessert after a long-awaited meal. They're the shining sun, but also the relief of the comforting moon that comes afterward.

8.Virgo: August 23-September 22

Virgos are always analyzing and thinking, and they're focused on making the world a better place through themselves and other people they know. Virgos are the bookshops or libraries, quiet and still, yet full of immense knowledge.

9. Libra: September 23-October 22

Libras are social butterflies and love making everyone feel included; they also have expensive tastes and are foodies. Libras are that fancy restaurant that doesn't feel as intimidating because you're with a huge group of friends, enjoying the cheapest things on the menu.

10. Scorpio: October 23-November 21

Scorpios are intense but down-to-earth and loyal. Scorpios are that time between the afternoon and evening, the golden hour when you're rolling around, playing with your pet or finding something to do. The most beautiful part of the day as you soak up the last bit of sunlight before the day ends with your loved ones.

11. Sagittarius: November 22-December 21

Reckless and vibrant is what sums up a Sagittarius completely, like the ray of sun that blinds your eyes while driving down a road or a streetlight that brights up the dark roads. Sagittarius is the warm feeling that settles in your stomach after making new friends or the smile after having a nice day that won't leave your face, even after you lay down to go to bed.

12. Capricorn: December 22-January 19

Capricorns are soft, yet active. Like the first blanket of snow on an unsuspecting winter night, but it's in control so it's sweet and consoling to look at. Capricorns are ambitious and sneaky like surprise snowball fights that have you breathless and red-faced with laughter, but the hugs after the intense cold weather make up for everything.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
