The Year Of The Chicago Cubs
Renee Stohr

The curse of the goat did not put a damper on the fear of the Chicago Cubs this year, and they have come to go all the way. As the whole world is aware of the Cubs clinching the 2016 NLCS championship, the fight isn't over yet. The fan base of the Chicago Cubs baseball team has been an ever loyal, humbling crowd through the decades of up's and down's; staying through the majority of the downs. From the outside looking in on this ever growing baseball success, the fans are in line for some well-deserved recognition.

There are the fans that have become a Cubs fan overnight, once the Cubs continued flying the "W" flag game after game and finally gained a foundation of consecutive wins, and then there are the fans who wore red and blue with pride for the majority of their lives. Chicago has something special, and that is the love and support the Cubs get from their ever loyal fans who have carried them to the success they are earning today.

This is the year of the Cub. Win or lose, this team has moved mountains. Breaking a streak of loss after loss, the Cubs have worked their way to a well-deserved spot in the 2016 World Series for the first time since 1945.

Whether you are blessed with a view from the stands of Wrigley field, or a comfy couch in your house wrapped up in a blanket, this World Series is not one to miss. It is clear who I have my heart set on to win, but let's face it; these Cubbies have already proven to the world that this is the year. So as we enter the final 4 wins to make it to the top, can we all join in on a little "Hey Chicago what do you say?" If you're a true Cub's fan you know the rest. Play Ball!!!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
