The Worst Thursday There Ever Was

Honestly, it was the worst day ever

The Worst Thursday There Ever Was

This is a story about the worst Thursday there ever was...it all started when I woke up late for class and realizing I still hadn't finished my journal for my 9:30.

The night before, I had been in the library for 7 consecutive hours studying, working on projects and writing papers. Not leaving until almost 2 A.M. I came back to my dorm trying to finish what was left of my homework, and I fell asleep somewhere between opening the book and ending my sentence with an exclamation point. I woke up with pen marks on my cheek at 8:45 and still needed to shower. When I say I took this quickest shower of my life, I mean it. I was out and ready in time to catch the bus by 9:14. I finished my journal on the bus and was too excited to turn it in. (P.S the journal was made entirely out of construction paper and it was the craftiest thing I've ever made.) As I went to turn in my journal, I noticed the stack of everyone else's journals...ya know the stack that was just typed out papers, as in not journals crafted out of construction paper. So anyway as I went to turn in my craft of a kindergartner, I placed it down embarrassingly and walked away.

But the day doesn't end there ladies and gentlemen...I had work after the class until 4 so I could go to my 5 o'clock. Not even 10 minutes into work, I spilled sweet tea all over the floor and counter! And if that wasn't enough, I then spilled pickles and all the pickle juice on the floor trying to refill the bar with fresh pickles. AND THEN AS IF CLEANING UP MESS AFTER MESS WASN'T ENOUGH, I then had a customer cuss and yell at me because we're not allowed to hand out our store phone :) that's right, you read that correctly. He started yelling and cussing because he was a "paying customer" (as he drank from another restaurant's cup) BECAUSE THE CELL PHONE IN HIS HAND WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR HIM TO USE, AND WE'RE NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE OUT OUR STORE PHONE :-)

Then to make it worse, oh yes, it does get worse. As I was getting off the bus to go home, my pant leg got caught on one of the seats, and can you guess what happens next? That's right, I ate the ground. Face planted right in front of everyone on the bus, and no one helped me. I just stayed on the ground with tears in my eyes and somehow managed to get my pant leg unstuck from the seat and walked off the bus full of shame.

Prior to leaving work, I received an email saying my 5 o'clock was cancelled (hell yeah) and relaxed until I needed to go to the library. BUT GUESS WHAT???? My professor messaged us at 4:49 that day saying he received multiple emails saying no one could come to class next Tuesday so class for that day was back on! Guess what time I checked my email again? 7:30! So I missed my 5 o'clock lecture! :)

AND THEN FINALLY, to end my day...I went back to the library to work on homework where I stayed till about 2:30 A.M., and then ended up getting up at 5 A.M. Worked on a speech that wasn't even due yet that I thought I was due the next day, and even managed to fail an online quiz 3 times before I finally passed it!!

So if you ever think your day is shitty, just remember this Thursday and that one time I messaged the guy I like saying "hey girl! still wanna get coffee after class?" thinking it was someone else :)

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
