Leaving Words Unsaid To Your Loved Ones Is The Worst Thing You Could Do

Love unapologetically whole-heartedly, you never know what could happen in the future.

With the recent disturbing news that broke our nation this week regarding the Parkland shooting; which took away the lives and potential futures of 17 people, I wanted to bring up the problem with words left unsaid.

It seems that people are often comfortable with saying less than more.

I don’t think anyone ever expects to see the day where they lose the person closest to them or the day where their own life alone is taken away. We never know when anything can happen in this life, therefore we can never take this time for granted.

Call it cliché or call it depressing; this world is going to move with or without us; and in my opinion, there is actually something beautiful in that.

Anything can happen in the blink of an eye but it also means anything is possible. This world is full of adventure, captivating views, emotion, and chance. We can’t waste time and waiting and wishing on things, we must act on them for we may never know when the last chance we have to is.

Live every single day as if it were your last.

Let living for others, yourself, and the people who don’t have the chance pursue what you can anymore, motivate you to want to make the best of this world.

After reading so much into the shooting that took place on the 14th, I thought about all of the families whose holidays were ruined, the parents who could never hold their child again, and the survivors who lost their friends and their innocent. I let it take over me as if I had experienced myself because 1. We should all empathize with those affected and 2. I needed to truly see how the reality of life is that it can be taken at any time.

I cannot imagine how hard this time must be for these people or how much they wish they could have just one more hug with the person they lost. This is why we almost owe it to others to be courageous enough to love hard and say what needs to be said.

I’ve taught myself to only love whole heartedly with the thought of someone who lost a person closest to them in the back of my head. I’d think it’d be selfish of me to ever take someone important to me for granted when I know there are others who would give up anything for a minute with someone who personally fills that role.

We cannot be afraid anymore of rejection or discomfort or even others judging us, we need to use the power of words and love to let others know how much they mean to us.

There is so much to appreciate in this life and no time to waste because you never know what the next minute or even second can bring.

Love hard unapologetically, in the end you will miss out on some incredible people, memories, and chances if you don’t.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
