Words
Silence. All
you are is silence. Silence I forget is there. Silence that ignores
my needs and avoids my presences. I've grown to pretend. Pretend that
I don't care. That the silence isn't louder than the words I wish
you'd say. Silence can't love you. Silence can't comfort you, can't
be there for you. Silence is the invisible presence I pretend isn't
there. I do not go by names, I go by words. The words you choose to
call me. The words I fight for not to become. I am pretend.
Condescending isn't a person, it's a monster. A shape shifting form of a villain. I can not express my emotions to a condescending being who truly doesn't care. You mock my essence and fight my every fiber. Condescending can not develop a smile on their own, so they steal every bit of happiness from others. The smile is then created along with hurtful words hidden in a condescending tone.
Ignorance is a true bliss beloved by many. Ignorance shoots out smiles in the factory called non knowledgeable cheer. They try their best, closest to being human than the rest of us. Yet they untimely lack the crucial knowledge. Problems are over exaggerated, are irrelevant, are unworthy. Ignorance can not see the negative but also can not help when others drown in it.
Exaggeration is in a world of it's own. Exaggeration shouts over the top comments to cause entertainment. As they whisper the on ending issues they see as life or death. Exaggeration can not notice your small problems as they stand on the tower of theirs. Exaggeration is the first to hear broadcasting the news to a far extent. Though I can not look down upon them. As exaggeration is in the same prison pretend lives in.
Loud uproars occur as the silence is broken. Silence assumes the worst not knowing the truth. Shouting the aggressive, insensitive remarks. As condescending shoots low blows of judgmental truth that they believe. All while ignorance stands unknowing, choosing to not know the troubles you faced. During which exaggeration commands you to apologize. Claiming you went too far no matter the blows you've taken.
The words are much too loud, much too hurtful, much too emotional. Emotions over take our lives creating the words we truly are. Pretend. Pretend it didn't happen, pretend it doesn't matter. Pretend.
